Jen Anniston

I am not impressed by Jen Anniston. I've seen her photographs in many mags lately and it's almost enough to make me quit reading mags. I have tried to sit through a couple of her movies only to turn them off from boredom. Have I missed something? Is there something about this person that makes them utterly fascinating to much of the American public? I am of the opinion that being married to and divorced from Brad Pitt is the only reason she is still working. I am also of the opinion that it has been a long time and that shouldn't matter. I think that the mags have made what happened to her sound like a big thing when millions of women all over the world go through divorces every day. And many of them don't have millions of dollars, and a press that has chosen Jen as the go to girl to feel sorry for. In fact, many have money problems, children, unemployment, and a lack of support from anywhere to deal with. I don't think what happened to her is a bigger deal than the other women who are in the situation. So there must be something I missed. She is an adequate actress I suppose, she is average looking, she is definitely not a style maven. I am still befuddled.

This conundrum and some others(Kardashian) has been bothering me. Children see on television little girls having tantrums and getting crowns for it. Former children are now vying to be the latest sex symbols in the entertainment world. Many of the problems children deal with now seem to be trivial to me but not to them. Having the latest phone/computer, the skinniest jeans, the funkiest colored hair and nails, driving the latest cars, etc seem to have changed expectations in life for many people. Sure, bridezillas are funny to some of us but do children see them as role models? Bad girls can do whatever they want and get paid. Snooki can fall down drunk and it's no big deal. And people like Jen can be America's Sweethearts for not doing much at all.

I am just sorry that more is not said about the people who truly deserve our interest for the things they are doing to create a better world for us.

Friends?

I think celeb news people are half news people and half fairy tale writers. It seems that if you are nice to someone in Hollywood, you must be hooking up with them. And I think that it is sad to live in a place where you must hide your friendships.

Poor Charlie Sheen

Sometimes I wonder how big a truck would need to run over someone for them to realize how messed up they are.

Let's hear it

Let's hear it for bad hair days. I think Scarlet wanted hers that way which goes to show how our mirrors can fool us.

When I was working, a bad hair day just ruined everything. I almost couldn't function. When I think about paparazzi waiting for me or a stage to walk across, a bad hair day becomes WW3. AGHHHHHHHHHH!

OMG Red

I am totally amazed that one person can wear red and do it totally right, and another can screw it up entirely. Sad, really.

A few nasty thoughts

I would like to know how much a person like Kelly B from a housewives show has to pay a ragmag to say she looks good in a bikini.

I would like to know how the Gosselin kids could help having anger issues. After all they are just taking after their mom.

I would like to know what thought process could make Kanye "Bigmouth, small mind" West think Taylor Swift should have his back. And why does he think people are attacking him. Maybe they are. But folks, stupidity is not a disease.

Why does it seem OK to spend millions on a wedding when there are so many starving kids in this world?

Does anyone besides the ragmags still connect Jennifer Anniston with Brad Pitt?

Justin Beiber is 16? Really? Coulda fooled me.

Leah Michelle. Isn't there anyone else on Glee?

Does Mickey Rourke look like a caricature of his old self or is it just me?

Heidi and Spencer. Publicity Stunt Divorce. Didn't work did it?

A Kardasian in the hand is---trying to get her picture taken.

I wonder how many ragmags there would be if they could only print the absolute proveable truth.

The fashion industry has finally done it. I used to love fashion magazines. The pretty models and the beautiful clothes were like eye candy. However, I can no longer say that. The clunky, overdone shoes; the sheer, unwearable, blouses; the gathered fabric dresses that look as though they were put together with safety pins. These are awful to me. The prices just suck. And the clothes are worn by "models" of anorexia and bulimia. The legs that we see so much of are downright bony. The bust. Well there is none. And the faces are badly made up if at all. The hair is often a frizzy fright that would get my stylist fired. Oh, and all in a size 0. Yeah I used to like fashion mags.

I used to like reading about the stars. That was until the advent of "reality" TV.
Now they are choosing some of the most disgusting people and treating them as if they were TV royalty. Thanks so much Jerry Springer!

Giggle

It has been a long time since I laughed this hard.

Butt

There are people who are proud of having a large butt. Go figure.

The hands herself

There is simply something misplaced here. The hair, make-up, and pearls. That speaks to a youngish woman who should be wearing a 40's shirtdress. The hands bring home a grandmother in need of lotion. Lots of lotion. The figure is wonderful for a teenager. The shoes say young boy. It is any wonder I'm confused?

GagaKatie

I am amazed that the music industry is not talking out loud about the new trend in costume evidenced by Katie Perry and Gaga. Of course after the hair bands of the 80's and particularly the make up wearing bands, this has been common. But I have noticed that it has changed sexes. Now Christina, Avril, Britney, and the two aforementioned warblers are sporting costume both for performance and in daily life. Pink has been somewhat trendy to this end. The clothes worn by Beyonce seem like costumes often because she mixes so many designer duds. So in the 80's, Kiss and the rest of the bands liked to look different than usual. Now Gwen Stefani and her group of groupies gives us the costume thing. I guess it was inevitable.

Tori

I've heard and read news about Tori's weight loss. I think she looks good. The only problem I see is that she looks like her mother.
