A Fashion Event

Sorry folks but I just cannot condone ridiculous costume even for fashion. There is not one outfit in this group that is pretty, that enhances the wearer, or that is good at proving the wearer's fashion sense. And Pooooor Victoria Beckham seems to know only one pose. In this case it doesn't make the dress look better. I think she would have looked better in one of her own designs.

Dear Drew

Drew Barrymore has stepped out. There are all sorts of pics in the rag mags and on the internet, and each one shows a new, very new look at her clothing choices. Some old Hollywood glamour is creeping into her style. The Black dress and Reddish shoes are to die for. The pale dress, and the hair, wow. The green dress, not so much. I think it is too long. Imagine it about 10 inches shorter. Could be a keeper. Anyway, I have to comment on the ugly black-etc shoes worn with the green dress. All of the fashion mags I have read say don't cut the leg at the ankle. It shortens the body. These shoes sever the leg at the ankle and foot and makes the whole outfit suck. I hope the designers go back to doing clothing and leave the shoe business alone. They aren't doing it well.

The year that is

I love looking at the beautiful dresses celebs wear. The wonderful diamond jewelry is impressive. Not so much the pants. This must be the year of the really scary pants. I used to believe that celebs were people who had their stuff together. Back when the studios controlled actor's lives, it seemed to be true. They always looked wonderful, make up in place, beautiful clothes, and smiling. Not celebs go out looking worse than the Walmart crowd. (I shop there). This grouping of pants should be scanned and put to death.

This woman can look smokin hot. She is not large in the chest department but she is able to dress and look sexy anyway. Except here. Dress is not so good, Jacket is awful, hair=yuck, and pardon the old fashioned opinion but I think the shoes suck. I have noticed that shoes have become very decorative lately, lots of straps, etc. But I think it is sort of like the eye lip thing. If you go out on a limb with one, soften the other. In this case, maybe a simple dress with the shoes. Anyway, this one is a bomb. Not THE bomb.
